MALVERN, PA, Oct. 22, 2014 – Ricoh Americas Corporation today announced a new series of monochrome printers and multifunction products (MFPs) featuring All-In-One print cartridge technology and Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) – a security standard that helps users easily secure a wireless network.
“With simplified Wi-Fi connectivity you can skip the cables, connections and complicated instructions, and begin printing to your new device in just a few steps,” said Matt Sakauchi, Vice President,
Technology Marketing, Ricoh Americas Corporation. “Such simplicity is integral to our mission of delivering information mobility in the new world of work.”
Wi-Fi connectivity complements traditional Ethernet and direct USB 2.0 connection modes in the versatile, 23-page-per-minute RICOH SP 213SNw/SP 213SFNw black-and-white laser MFP and RICOH SP 213Nw black-and-white laser printer. Ideal for small businesses and home offices, the series also includes a range of sustainability features, and an expansive array of fonts.
Features that can help customers meet their sustainability goals include manual duplex, a recyclable All-In-One print cartridge, minimal warmup time, and N-up printing and copying to place several pages of information on a single sheet to save paper. Paperless fax capability captures inbound faxes in memory and forwards them to an email address or to a network folder, enabling users to print only the ones they want. Users can also fax directly from their PCs, saving even more paper.
The RICOH SP 213 series employs a powerful 360 MHz PCL print controller with 128 MB RAM and
80 resident PCL fonts for creative printing in many styles. The series’ fanless design helps keep the printers and MFPs especially quiet.
The manufacturer’s suggested retail price for the RICOH SP 213Nw laser printer is $145. The MSRP for the RICOH SP 213SNw (scan, print, copy) is $195, and the SP 213SFNw (scan, print, copy, fax) is $245.
