Konica Minolta President & COO Named Executive of the Year, Company Receives Inaugural Award for Best Marketing Strategy

Ramsey, NJ – October 6, 2015  – Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. (Konica Minolta) today announces that Rick Taylor, president and chief operating officer for Konica Minolta, has been named "Executive of the Year" for the ninth year by The Cannata Report, a leading print and digital media resource for the office products and workflow solutions industry for 34 years and counting. In addition, Konica Minolta garnered the inaugural Award for Best Marketing Strategy.

“It is amazing to me that one man has been able to dominate an award category for 15 years, says Frank Cannata, President and Editor-in-Chief/Publisher, The Cannata Report. He has received this honor 9 times over that same period of time. Today Konica Minolta is recognized as one of the most aggressive and successful manufacturers in the Americas. Part of that credit goes to Rick and a dynamic team of young executives who are striving to make Konica Minolta the leader, in every segment of the business.

"The Marketing Strategy Award recognizes our leadership over the last several years in opening new opportunities in Managed IT Services, Enterprise Content Management and 3D Printing to our channel partners,” says Taylor.

The awards were presented at The Cannata Report’s 30th Annual Awards and Charities Dinner on Thursday, October 1st at Meadow Wood Manor, Randolph, N.J. Imaging and document solutions industry dealers and manufacturers and prominent corporate executives were the presenters at the awards ceremony, which is attended by all major copier/printer manufacturers and dealer segments of the business technology industry. The award is based on a minimum of 275 responses annually from dealers to The Cannata Report’s Annual Dealer Survey, now in its 30th year.

The criteria for the Best Marketing Strategy Award is based on the manufacturer developing a strategy that resonates with dealers whether it's a promotion, a particular segmentation of the market or specifically where a product series should be targeted.

Proceeds from this year’s Cannata Dinner will establish an esophageal cancer research grant funded by The Cannata Report in partnership with The V Foundation for Cancer Research. In addition, all money raised through a silent auction of sports memorabilia will benefit Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon (AaSP).

To date, The Cannata Report’s Annual Awards and Charities Dinner collectively raised more than $1.5 million for various charities nationwide.
