In a post on its website that is a translation of a notice disclosed April 30, Konica Minolta stated it would postpone the announcement of its year-end financial results:
Konica Minolta, Inc. (the “Company”) would like to extend our sincerest condolences to those who lost their lives due to infection of new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and express our sympathy to all sufferers.
The Company has decided to postpone the announcement of its consolidated financial results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2020, which was scheduled for May 12, 2020.
1. Reason for the postponement
While the new coronavirus infectious disease is spreading, the Company has been working on annual closing while ensuring the safety of the people involved, including the implementation of work from home by employees. Since the consolidated accounting and auditing procedures, including the operations of domestic and overseas consolidated companies, will take more days than initially expected, we have decided to postpone the announcement of financial results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2020.
2. Scheduled date of financial results announcement
The financial results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2020 are scheduled to be announced on May 26, 2020.
Due to the expansion of new coronavirus infectious diseases, the restriction on visits to customers has delayed the installation of equipment and has an impact on sales and service activities. We will continue careful assessment of the impact on our business performance and promptly notify you of any matters that should be disclosed in the future.
