OAKBROOK TERRACE, IL — April 20, 2026 — The Global Technology Industry Association (GTIA), has made $2 million in grant funding available in 2026 to nonprofits and schools using technology to expand opportunity and address systemic barriers. The grants are awarded through the GTIA Foundation, the industry association’s charitable arm.
Applications are now open and must be submitted by May 1, 2026. Grants are available exclusively through referral by a GTIA member company, including ITSPs, vendors, distributors and associate members, reinforcing the association’s engagement with member-guided, impact-driven philanthropy.
Through this special referral-based grantmaking program, GTIA expects to award grants primarily in the $25,000 to $50,000 range, with the potential for larger awards depending on the strength and scope of applications received. The program is part of GTIA’s $5 million total charitable giving commitment for 2026, a significant expansion of its philanthropic investments, that reflects the collective strength, engagement and leadership of GTIA’s global member community. It is also supported by a long-term endowment strategy designed to ensure sustainable, member-guided giving for years to come.
“This program reflects what makes the global technology community so powerful, with our members using their expertise, networks and insight to help direct funding to organizations creating real impact for the communities where they live and work,” said Kelly Ricker, COO of GTIA. “We want to encourage nonprofits and GTIA member companies to connect and collaborate in advancing the delivery of technology solutions that expand access, equity and opportunity.”
Funding Priorities
GTIA’s charitable giving priorities are nonprofits and schools that use technology to address resource gaps and dismantle systemic barriers. Areas of focus include, but are not limited to:
- Technology that enhances educational opportunities and outcomes
- Programs that bridge the digital divide
- Workforce initiatives using technology to open doors
- Tech innovation that creates new pathways to prosperity
- Bold initiatives that leverage technology to expand access and eq
