gapTCO CPC Comparison of Four A4 Small Workteam Color MFPs

This month’s installment compares the HP Color LaserJet Managed MFP E57540dn, Konica Minolta bizhub C3320i, Kyocera ECOSYS M6630cidn, and the Xerox VersaLink C405/DN.

At an AMPV of 2,000 pages, under a three-year length of ownership, and leveraging average private sector pricing for hardware:

The Konica Minolta bizhub C3320i is the winning product with the lowest TCO of $4,519.13, followed by the HP Color LaserJet Managed MFP E57540dn with a TCO of $4,918.29, the Kyocera ECOSYS M6630cidn with a TCO of $5,093.34, and the Xerox VersaLink C405/DN with a TCO of $5,137.00.

  • All four models offer standard print, copy, and scan functionality. Fax is standard on the Kyocera ECOSYS M6630cidn and Xerox VersaLink C405/DN while fax is optional on the HP Color LaserJet Managed MFP E57540dn and the Konica Minolta bizhub C3320i.
  • The HP Color LaserJet Managed MFP E57540dn provides the fastest print speeds at up to 40ppm, followed by the Xerox VersaLink C405/DN at 36ppm.The Konica Minolta bizhub C3320i offers print speeds of 33ppm and the Kyocera ECOSYS M6630cidn provides the slowest print speeds in the comparison of 32ppm.
  • When comparing duplex scan speeds, the Konica Minolta bizhub C3320i provides the fastest scan speeds at up to 58ipm for black and color images.The Xerox VersaLink C405/DN offers the next fastest duplex scan speeds at 52/27ipm, followed by the HP Color LaserJet Managed MFP E57540dn at 43/38ipm, and lastly the Kyocera ECOSYS M6630cidn with duplex scan speeds of 26/17ipm (due to its reversing document feeder).

  • All four devices feature a standard color touchscreen display with the HP Color LaserJet Managed MFP E57540dn having the largest 8.0-inch panel.The Konica Minolta bizhub C3320i
    and Kyocera ECOSYS M6630cidn both feature a 7.0-inch display, while the Xerox VersaLink C405/DN has the smallest display within the comparison at 5.0-inch.
