Epson Replaceable Ink Pack System Printer Wins CRN 2015 Tech Innovator Award

LONG BEACH, Calif. – Nov. 16, 2015 – Epson America, Inc., a leading provider of business imaging solutions, today announced that its WorkForce Pro WF-R8590 printer has won a 2015 CRN Tech Innovator Awards. In its annual award, CRN recognizes standout companies that have brought to market hardware, software or services that have substantially impacted the industry. In compiling the Tech Innovator list, a panel of CRN editors evaluated 200 products across 19 categories based on a number of factors, including technical advances, unique features and ability to empower solution providers to solve end-users' IT challenges. Epson’s WorkForce Pro WF-R8590 Network Multifunction Color Printer was named a tech innovator winner in the Printing & Imaging category.

The WorkForce Pro WF-R8590, powered by PrecisionCore, represents an entirely new way for companies to print in color as it utilizes the Replaceable Ink Pack System – allowing workgroups to print up to 75,000 pages without changing the ink packs1. This unique system enables high-volume, hassle free printing, ultra-fast print speeds of 24 ISO ppm (black and color)†, and a 1,830-sheet maximum capacity supporting up to A3 (tabloid size) media – ideal for shared color printing on a network. The WF-R8590 also supports PCL2 and PostScript 3, includes a Universal printer driver and Web Config, and is enabled with remote printer data collection compatible with MPS software solutions, including PrintFleet, ECi FMAudit and Print Audit.
 
Additional WorkForce Pro WF-R8590 features include built-in connectivity options such as Ethernet, USB, wireless b/g/n3 and Wi-Fi Direct3 for easy printing from tablets and smartphones4. The printer also comes equipped with remote printing, access to Cloud, IT tools such as remote setup and custom settings for multiple printers, and support for advanced security protocols. The WF-R8590 is now available through select commercial channel partners.
