Epson Introduces the Fastest Portable Document Scanner in Its Class

LONG BEACH, Calif. – Jan. 17, 2017 – Epson America, Inc., a leading provider of digital imaging solutions, today introduced the Epson DS-320 portable document scanner with Auto Document Feeder (ADF), the latest addition to its line-up of commercial document scanners. Delivering the fastest scan speeds in its class1, the DS-320 boasts speeds up to 25 ppm/50 ipm2, and features a 20-page ADF with single-pass duplex scanning for effortless and versatile scanning for business users. The compact scanner also comes equipped with TWAIN and ISIS® drivers for seamless integration with existing document management software. In addition, the DS-320 can be powered through AC or USB 3.03, allowing users to increase efficiency and organization at the office or remotely.

The DS-320 offers a wide range of productivity features and comes equipped with a robust software package including Epson Document Capture, ABBYY® FineReader and Presto! BizCard® Reader, allowing business users to stay organized.

Epson’s Document Capture allow users to seamlessly and locally manage documents or scan directly to popular cloud services with one touch including Dropbox, SharePoint, Evernote®, FileBound, Google Drive™ and other online storage accounts4. The updated version of Epson’s Document Capture includes a simplified user interface for easier scanning, enabling users to scan documents or business cards and send directly to the pre-defined destination of their choice. Epson Document Capture also features powerful capabilities such as image clean-up and color enhance/dropout. In addition, the software improves ease-of-use by allowing users to easily change to a custom file name for the current document.

Epson makes it easy for businesses to seamlessly integrate existing document management software into their workplace infrastructures with the availability of TWAIN and ISIS drivers, making the portable scanner compatible with most third-party software.

Users can scan a variety of originals – from rigid ID cards, receipts, stacks of business cards to documents up to 44 inches – and take advantage of advance correction tools such as Epson Image Processing Technology for text and image adjustments including auto crop, skew correction, blank page and background removal. The DS-320 single-pass duplex document scanner also allows for versatile scanning, allowing business users to create searchable and editable PDFs with the included OCR software.
