End User Snapshot 9: What Size Companies Are Reducing Print?

We asked office technology end users, “Over the last year have you made a conscious decision to reduce the amount you print for work?”

Did the size of company the user works for makes a difference to the answer they gave?

The highest percentage who said they were consciously reducing their print came from companies between 250 to 1,000 employees — SMBs. The very small companies – those with less than 250 employees – and large 1,000- to 10,000-employee companies had about the same amount say they were.

Over 50% of users of companies with 10,000 or more employees said they were consciously reducing print.

What this means for the imaging channel industry is that print in the office is declining, but still not in its final death throes, and multifunction printers are still relied upon by companies and end users to get their work done.
