ORLANDO, Fla., November 9, 2023 – ConnectWise, the world’s leading software company dedicated to the success of IT solution providers (TSPs), today announced significant strides in its evolution from Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) to Unified Monitoring and Management (UMM). The key focus areas include network, cloud, and backup monitoring, showcasing ConnectWise’s commitment to go beyond traditional RMM capabilities.
ConnectWise RMM is built on the ConnectWise Asio platform, enabling workflows for ticketing, billing, and AI-assisted PowerShell scripting. Since the launch of AI for RMM in April, partners have generated over 10,000 scripts to increase their productivity and client responsiveness. With ConnectWise Co-Managed Backup, TSPs can leverage RMM workflow automation and the ConnectWise NOC with the expertise of Axcient, Acronis, and Veeam-trained technicians to enhance their service delivery 24x7x365.
At launch, ConnectWise RMM in-depth backup monitoring supports Axcient and Veeam, with Acronis, Datto, and Windows Backup available soon. TSPs can track client backups both on-premises and in the cloud. ConnectWise RMM backup monitoring provides visibility into protected devices, disaster recovery readiness, and alarms, ensuring that TSPs can proactively address backup-related issues.
Agile development for ConnectWise RMM now allows TSPs to comprehensively monitor cloud, network, and backup activities from a new and intuitive user experience (UX), giving TSPs a holistic view of client infrastructure. The new cloud monitoring capability includes support for the Microsoft Azure Cloud, providing TSPs essential visibility into client cloud health and availability. Additionally, custom filters enable proactive monitoring, allowing TSPs to troubleshoot client issues before they impact operations.
One of the standout features of the new UX and single pane view is the interactive RMM monitoring. This enables real-time visibility across the entire TSP environment, including endpoint status, patching compliance, ticketing status, and cloud and network device status. When critical items are visualized, TSPs can drill down and take action. Additionally, administrators can customize their view based on client scope and permissions.
“With our focus on UMM, ConnectWise continues to empower TSPs with a comprehensive solution that goes beyond traditional RMM,” said Ameer Karim, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Unified Monitoring and Management at ConnectWise. “By combining network, cloud, and backup monitoring in a single UMM solution, ConnectWise enables TSPs to proactively manage their clients’ environments, optimize workflows, and deliver exceptional
service. We are putting the tools in our partners’ hands so they can better access and manage their clients’ environments. We look forward to seeing the positive impact that our UMM vision will have in the IT channel ecosystem.”
ConnectWise UMM offers a comprehensive solution for backup monitoring and service level management. It provides a holistic view of backups and enables efficient monitoring of critical aspects such as protected devices and disaster recovery readiness. With its integration capabilities and access to certified technicians, ConnectWise UMM ensures seamless collaboration and optimal service delivery.
