CIG Debuts Remanufactured HP 26A Cartridges Featuring Patent Pending Secure Seal Technology

Chicago, IL – June 2, 2016 –– Clover Imaging Group (CIG) announced today that it has developed multiple patent pending and proprietary technologies to overcome the industry challenge of providing a true OEM alternative cartridge for HP’s JetIntelligence technology platform.

When the HP line of JetIntelligence printers was first introduced, it represented a new engine/technology platform for the aftermarket to master. To date, the aftermarket has been challenged with these new technologies, resulting in very low market share and making this a great “blue ocean” OEM conversion opportunity for companies that have the engineering infrastructure to overcome these barriers.

CIG has invested tremendous resources to develop multiple patent pending and proprietary technologies that create a true alternative to the OEM. One such breakthrough is CIG’s new Secure Seal Technology, which provides an OEM-type of user experience with OEM-type seal functionality. This cutting-edge, scalable technology uniquely positions CIG to develop cartridges for today, as well future generations of printers utilizing a similar technology platform.

“We are firm believers that the industry can only thrive when OEMs continue to innovate and drive imaging technology forward, as HP has done with this line of products. Such OEM progress allows CIG to demonstrate the concrete benefits of our continued investment into technology and engineering by creating new aftermarket products with tangible, differentiated value that stand as true alternatives to the OEM in terms of quality and user experience. That investment isn’t just about the 26A toners, this new platform will be used in multiple printers, color and mono. Our patent pending and proprietary technologies, such as Secure Seal technology, are highly scalable and provide the foundation for many new products going forward,” said Luke Goldberg, EVP, Global Sales and Marketing for CIG.
