MELVILLE, N.Y., July 26, 2016 – With the successful launch of the third generation imageRUNNER ADVANCE platform earlier this year, Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, continues the positive momentum with seven accolades from Buyers Laboratory, LLC (BLI). Among the honors include recognition of several new third generation imageRUNNER ADVANCE systems with four ‘Pick’ awards for performance in the A3 category, as well as three other awards to certain imageRUNNER and imageRUNNER ADVANCE models for environmental efficiency. Selections for ‘Pick’ awards are made by BLI’s staff of technicians and editors after subjecting a number of devices from every major original equipment manufacturer to BLI’s comprehensive lab tests in the last six months.
“We are thrilled that BLI has awarded Canon yet again with multiple Summer ‘Pick’ awards,” said Toyo Kuwamura, executive vice president and general manager, Business Imaging Solutions Group, Canon U.S.A., Inc. “The awards for the newly introduced models on the third generation imageRUNNER ADVANCE platform are extremely gratifying and all of the accolades are a testament to the productivity benefits that the imageRUNNER ADVANCE and imageRUNNER systems can offer to the customer. Thank you to BLI for again recognizing Canon’s focused dedication to providing businesses with productive and energy efficient solutions.”
In the A3 category, BLI awarded Canon with the following Summer ‘Pick’ awards:
- Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE 6565i – Outstanding 61- to 70-ppm A3 Monochrome MFP
- Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE 6575i – Outstanding 71- to 80-ppm A3 Monochrome MFP
- Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE 8585i – Outstanding 81- to 90-ppm A3 Monochrome MFP
- Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE 8505i – Outstanding 91- to 105-ppm A3 Monochrome MFP
“With each device offering an impressive drum yield of 6,000,000-impressions, as well as remote access to service mode and firmware upgrades, the four imageRUNNER ADVANCE models tested offer outstanding uptime for high-volume office environments,” said George Mikolay, senior product editor, A3 Copiers/MFPs, BLI. “The models also include a customizable control panel, intuitive print driver design and support for mobile printing and cloud-based services. These models also produced remarkable output during testing, with fully formed, black characters, fine lines, bold solids and clear transitions from light to dark shades.”
BLI awarded Canon the following Outstanding Achievement in Energy Efficiency Awards:
- Canon imageRUNNER 1435i – A4 Mono MFP – Small Workgroup – 43 percent lower than average energy consumption for its respective product category
- Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE C350P – Midsize Workgroup – 42 percent lower than average energy consumption for its respective product category
- Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE C3325i – Segment 2 Color – 48 percent lower than average energy consumption for its respective product category
“For each given test season, BLI’s Outstanding Achievement in Energy Efficiency awards recognizes the best environmental performers per product category, and once again we see Canon printers and MFPs make that short list,” said Lisa Reider, BLI’s senior product editor for environmental. “Not only do the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C3325i and imageRUNNER ADVANCE C350P exhibit significantly lower than average estimated annual energy consumption levels within their respective product categories, they also deliver ways for users to decrease energy use and reduce waste.”
