ACDI and ELATEC Announce New Default Configuration for Card Readers

BENTON, Ark. — Access Control Devices, Inc. (ACDI), a world-class service and solutions provider, and ELATEC, the leading provider of solutions related to short-range wireless readers and writers, announced today an updated configuration for ELATEC RFID readers

The new configuration became default on Sept. 1 and works with the most common RFID technologies in the market. It provides an improved experience for users by maintaining support for innovative, time-saving features like configuration cards and upgrade cards, supporting BLE compatibility by default on BLE-enabled readers, and providing card output in decimal format.

“We at ACDI are excited to announce this new reader configuration alongside our partners from ELATEC,” said David Brown, Senior Product Manager at ACDI. “The team at ELATEC shares our desire to consistently search for ways to add value for our resellers. This change will dramatically enhance their deployment experience.”

ACDI began its partnership with ELATEC in 2019, earning Premier Partner recognition in 2021 and 2022 for increased integration of ELATEC RFID readers into its existing print management solutions. As part of print management, RFID readers authenticate the user and release print jobs at the printer, avoiding potential data breaches from sensitive information accumulating in the output tray.

“ACDI has been an excellent partner to ELATEC for several years now, sharing our same goals to provide the best products, processes, and services to customers,” said John Villegas, Vice President of Sales at ELATEC. “Our ability to customize our products to meet the needs of ACDI and their partners is one of our top priorities. We look forward to continued collaboration to provide one-of-a-kind solutions to dealers and end-users across the world.”
