Thanks for the post. Barcelona is such a great city. Hope the conference goes well. Since blogging about MPS market sizing in October, Photizo is the only company I'm aware of to write about its methodology, even at a high level. It's certainly the only one that's posted a link at The Skeptic site. Market sizing is such an important issue, it deserves more attention. I'll blog about it regularly, for sure. In the interest of fairness and balance, I'll be delighted to review any MPS market sizing methodology--even if the company doesn't post a link at our blog. Thanks again for your note, Mr Sethre. I hope you have a pleasant journey.

Charlie, greetings from the 2nd annual Photizo European MPS Conference. http://www.mpsinsights.com/our-insights/great-discussion-by-keynote-peter-sheahan/ You may be hearing from some other Photizo voices on the topic of market sizing, but I just wanted to ask (in the interest of fairness and balance) whether you have received any indications of methodology from other research firms. Laura mentioned something about "chasing arbitrary numbers," but could you please specify to whom you are referring? Photizo or the others? PS: anybody who is forecasting single-digit growth rates, and who has discussed the business with even a handful of vendors, really needs to explain their methodology. Regards, Rob S.

It's difficult to understand who's currently right on the MPS percentage of growth, as research firms are all over the place 8% - 23%.
