With the introduction of the color imageRUNNER ADVANCE C2030 and C2020, Canon is expanding its imageRUNNER ADVANCE platform to include lower-volume, lower-speed color MFPs. The pair of new tabloid/A3 color MFPs, which replace the imageRUNNER C2550, are based on a new engine that uses technology from higher-end imageRUNNER ADVANCE models.

The Canon PIXMA MX870 Wireless Home Office All-In-One is a higher-end printing solution targeting the small office and home (SOHO) market. The machine offers 9,600 x 2,400 dpi color resolution for photo printing and a standard 35-sheet automatic document feeder.

On July 5, HP added the LaserJet Pro 100 color MFP M175nw to its lineup of A4 color laser MFPs. The new print, copy and scan MFP is an entry-level device featuring a compact design for the limited space on a home-office desktop or in a small office.

The new HP Officejet 4500 all-in-one is a print/copy/scan/fax device that sits at the bottom of HP's Officejet all-in-one lineup. The Officejet 4500 offers a low acquisition price and is designed for environments with low print volumes.

At just under 2 cents for a black-and-white page, the C35 has operating costs one associates with lower-end desktop units. Similarly, the cost of a color page is closer to what one would expect from a higher-end SOHO inkjet device, rather than a mid-tier color MFP.
Kyocera Mita
The TASKalfa 552ci is a print, copy and scan device with optional fax. Kyocera Mita supports its MFPs with Hybrid Platform for Advanced Solutions (HyPAS) technology, which allows developers to create customized applications for specific digital imaging needs.
Lexmark
The Lexmark Pro901, which is marketed as the "Pinnacle" model, expands the upper end of Lexmark's Vizix line. It is a print, copy, scan and fax device that occupies the No. 2 slot in the Vizix family, just under the Pro905, which offers additional paper input capacity.

The new Lexmark X950 series of LED A3 MFPs, which include the X950de, X952dte, and X954dhe, replaces the X940e and X945e models. The new machines offer print, copy, scan and fax functionality.
OKI
With a price point below $500, Oki's MC160 MFP is low-end color laser with many attractive standard features. Like other printer and copier vendors, Oki has set the costs high on its latest low-end color electrophotographic unit.
Ricoh
Ricoh has introduced the Aficio MP C300, MP C300SR, MP C400, and MP C400SR, a new line of letter/A4-sized color MFPs with the features and functionality of its A3 color MFPs. Based on a brand-new, Ricoh-developed engine design, the Aficio MP C300 and MP C300SR produce output at 32 ppm, and the Aficio MP C400 and MP C400SR print and copy at 42 ppm. Paper input is 650 sheets standard, expandable to 2,300 sheets, and all four machines have a standard 50-sheet reversing automatic document feeder (RADF) and standard duplexing.

Ricoh has replaced the Aficio MP C2800, MP C3300, MP C4000, and MP C5000 with the new Aficio MP C3001, MP C3501, MP C4501, and MP C5501. The new line of A3 color MFPs offer some advanced security features, including Ricoh's DataOverwriteSecurity System (DOSS), which is designed to overwrite hard drive data after each copy, scan, fax, and print job, and various methods of authentication.
Samsung
Samsung recently announced its very first A3 color MFPs, the MultiXpress CLX-9250ND and CLX-9350ND, which are based on a brand-new engine design. The MultiXpress CLX-9250ND prints and copies at 25 ppm in black and color, and the CLX-9350ND offers output speeds of 35 ppm in black and color.

On August 10, Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA) replaced the MX-4101N with the new Sharp MX-4110N and MX-4111N and replaced the MX-5001N with the MX-5110N and MX-5111N. The MX-4110N and MX-4111N are A3 print/copy/scan MFPs capable of printing up to 41 pages per minute. The MX-5110N and MX-5111N offer the same functionality but print at 51 ppm.
Toshiba America Business Solutions
Toshiba America Business Solutions (TABS) is replacing its e-STUDIO 2330c, 2830c, 3530c and 4520c with the new e-STUDIO 4540c line, which includes the e-STUDIO 2040c, 2540c, 3040c, 3540c and 4540c. The new machines are based on technology similar to that found in their predecessors but upgraded with Toshiba's new generation e-BRIDGE architecture.
Xerox
With the release of the WorkCentre 7120, Xerox is retiring its WorkCentre 7200 family. The new 7120 is an entry-level A3/tabloid color laser MFP that comes loaded with a variety of device management tools, including MeterAssistant and SuppliesAssistant.

Xerox's new WorkCentre 7545 and 7556 are A3 color MFPs that replace the WorkCentre 7346, 7755, and 7765. The new WorkCentre 7545 and 7556 are differentiated by output speed, duty cycle, and cost. The two machines use Xerox's HiQ LED print heads, which are also used in other current Xerox machines such as the Phaser 7500 and WorkCentre 7400.
